We boarded the bus on Saturday morning with about 230 people from church headed for the Great Wall at Huanghuacheng. The is not like the tourist area at Badaling and there are eight places where you can see and hike the wall. The area we were in is less traveled, is very difficult climbing and exceptionally beautiful. The fog was very heavy and would have been perfect to see the sun. We had great accommodations and much to our surprise, the food was quite tasty. We had a program after dinner, a bonfire and dancing...kids and all. Great music and fireworks at the end. Four boxes were placed on the stadium floor, maybe 30 feet from our seats in the stands. They were lit and wow! what a show. Everything was contained in the box. What an experience. Church was an awesome experience as we all sat outside looking at the Great Wall...a very sweet spirit that we will always remember.
