I worked at "Roundabout" today to price items to be placed in the store and sold to raise money to send to orphanages. A Lady from Scotland started this project 4 years ago...amazing. It was freezing cold in the building but we managed to empty all of the wire baskets. This is Karen, just moved to Beijing to complete an internship with BYU. Very interesting and sweet young lady.
We had a had a great time working at“Roundabout”. The store is like a Goodwill store where people can come and buy things for their home, toys, furniture, appliances, etc. We nearly froze while working (30 degrees) as they place doesn't have heat. The money raised here is sent to 48 different charities and orphanages in China and other countries. An amazing woman from Scotland that started the project. I have been a couple of times and would go more often but it takes two hours by subway and then a 20 minute
