We had a wonderful week with Lindsay, Laney and Ryan - we just wish that
we had all of the grandkids with us. You will see just a few of the
pictures that were taken. Lindsay has most of the 650 pictures on her camera. We visited all of the highlights of Beijing from the
Forbidden City to the Great Wall but their most favorite was “shopping”.
They learned quickly how to bargain for a good deal!
What great looking grandkids - love those glasses
Love those eyes too!
We are all getting ready in the bathroom. Who said we couldn't share just fine!
Aren't they handsome, beautiful kids- Lindsay.Ry
Lindsay is waiting for a subway train
Hutong by Confucious Temple
| Vegetarian restaurant that we
have been waiting to take Lindsay to visit. It was closed for the buffet but we ordered from the menu..that was a bummer! |
Confusciou
What do you think Lindsay?
It was a very cold Sunday afternoon in Beijing
Touching the knobs of the door to the Temple brings good luck
Four very wise people
A wise old man that Laney found on the street
A man with several wives lived in this Hutong at one time before the Cultural Revolution
Families live in these little places
A very fancy door lock for this humble dwelling
The lady is writing Gracie's name in a shop that we visited.
Typical Chinese gate.
This lady is blind from gloucoma. She is playing a Tho and tending her baby, hoping that people will donate money ,
What a cutie - Lindsay having a facial
You probably can't tell that this is Ryan
Laney and the seaweed mask
It was time for departure.
Our last meal together at the beautiful Beijing airport...
Such sweet farewells
The kids loved eating at the Brown Door - Chinese food - most plates are empty
A visit to the night market - whole birds have been grilled
The fried banana balls were very tasty.
