Afternoon walk around campus

What a beautiful day in Beijing just right for a walk around campus of China Foreign Affairs.

The roses are so pretty right below our kitchen window

We were just like the Chinese Grandparents tending their 
children.  This is the little baby Pierre that we have fun 
with him every Monday afternoon while his Mother teaches French.

Isn't he a beautiful baby?  His Mother is French and his Father
 is Chinese - four months old.  He lives in our apartment building 
and we have been playing together since he was 3 weeks old.

Pierre's Mom and Dad brought breakfast to Lindsay, Laney
and Ryan when they came to visit.  They still
 keep the thank you note on their door.

Two students came over today to make have cooking lessons.  
They wanted to make chocolate chip cookies.  This was their
 first experience with baking and seeing an oven.  They
 were so proud to share 48 cookies with their classmates.  They
 couldn't believe all of the sugar we used!  They loved their cookies.

Kate (she will study in the  UK next year) and 
Julia (plans to study at Columbia)
