Grotto

This Grotto was built inside the mountain.  We couldn't take pictures inside the caves as they are called....huge Buddha' maybe 2 -3 stories high...perfectly  carved out of rock.  2,500 years old...covered by centuries of blowing sand.  Discovered about 100 years ago.

 

This was an incredible place that dates back 2500 years.  People are still living in some parts of this Grotto. It was started by the Buddahists and later the Muslims moved in.
