We participated, watched, and touched four great events. These pictures were taken at the Snow and Ice Exhibit on an Island near Harbin. In the summer months it is a beautiful part but this exhibit is done every year. We could have taken a shuttle bus but we wanted to walk the park and see everything. It was so very cold! Those cute snowmen greeted us as we entered the park. We enjoyed a dog sled ride and slid down the ice slide...that was fun but not quite long enough. As you can see, we are dressed like teddy bears and it was hard to move. You don't dare take off your gloves to take a picture as they get so cold and hard to warm up. My camera had a difficult time working...I had to hold the battery in my hands. You might know, I needed to use the "squat pot" ...did not do a very good job and I got in trouble from the lady that went in to clean-up after me! Just a little water. Notice that there is always something to clean and that man is sweeping the snow. We stayed in this park for two hours. A Russian theme in the park for 2011. Happy New Year!
